Staining New Cabinets to Match a Vintage Kitchen

The folks over at StuccoHouse have a great (ongoing) series of posts detailing the process of staining new cabinets to match existing ones in the kitchen of a vintage 1924 Minnesota bungalow.

One of the most challenging things about partial remodels is attempting to match the new with the old... but it looks like these guys are pulling it off effortlessly. The old and new cabinets look remarkably similar both in style and finish. Once the remaining coats of shellac are applied, the match will be spot on.

It looks like changes to the flooring, ceiling, and lighting (among other things) are on the renovation schedule too, so there should be a lot more to come. Be sure to check back for updates!

Keep up do date on the renovation's progress here.
