This is an idea that is easily interchangeable from Autumn to Halloween to Thanksgiving.
That mesh netting for this time of year works well when it's orange. A bag of faux leaves will act as a perfect floating object for a 3D effect. Window stickers in the shapes of leaves, pumpkins, and possibly even acorns in yellow, red, and orange can be stuck to the underside of the glass.
With my table, I've been able to rest mesh netting on top of supports that hold up the glass on the table, and the faux leaves can be spread out and resting on top of it.
For Thanksgiving, I've used window stickers in the shape of turkeys, and added more leaves than I used during Halloween.
For Halloween, though I don't have pictures, I used window stickers in the shapes of cats, bats, and jack-o-lanterns. While they are subtle differences, they make a huge difference to the eye.
It's decoration you can keep up for months without having to make any changes at all to fit the seasons.
**Note: This can't be done justice in photos. It looks far better when you see it first hand. You have my guarantee.**

So from bottom to top it goes mesh, leaves, glass, and a few more leaves? I can see the 3D effect in the photo, but I want to make sure I understand your technique. Cool idea btw!

Love it. Winter would look beautiful with glittery mesh and paper snowflakes too.

Wow, very cool idea. It seems like an easy way to spice up a boring glass coffee table. Where did you find the mesh material that you used?

Mike, it's more like mesh, free-floating leaves, stick-on leaves, then glass. Having them on the underside of the table makes it more convenient for putting things on the table and cleaning.

Sha, I currently have my table set up for winter, though I need to take pictures, but I actually decided to do ornaments and stick-on poinsettias, however, I think that snowflakes would look awesome. I just didn't have the time to make all of them.

Dan, I just found it at the fabric store. Hancock fabrics has a large selection of everything.
