The Best Way to Clean Window Screens?

It's cool, wet, and miserable here... so time to catch up on some long overdue spring cleaning. I guess.
First up: Window Screens.
Thus far my method's been:
- Remove screen from window
- Take screen outside
- Bash screen with broom
- Replace clean screen (although 'clean' is debatable)
It's going ok, but I'm wondering if there's a better way to do this. Maybe one that keeps the screen in the window and me inside the house? (Yeah, I'm lazy.)
Anyway, what's your preferred way to clean the dust off your window screens? Broom... vacuum cleaner... garden hose... ignore it? Anyone have any suggestions?

If i can take them out - i do.Put them flat on the driveway and use the power wash on them. Shake them and put them back in. Just like new!
